hey gang, this may seem trivial, but I've had some problems with this site and another I put together for my chruch here in Cville (www.iamportico.com). At times it seems like the servers hang & take a loooong time to load pages on these sites. Myself and another friend have narrowed the issue down to being specific to one browser: Firefox 2.

Everything appears to work normally in Internet Explorer, which I assume most of you are using. Safari seems fine too. I just upgraded my copy of Firefox to version 3, which is still in beta, but it fixed the problem.

Anyway, probably not a big deal to most of you... but if you're having problems w/ this site being slow & you're using Firefox, try another browser or upgrade to v.3. Just FYI :)

cheers,
scott

Alrighty, I've done a little more investigating. I'm back to Firefox v.2 b/c I'm too dependent on some browser add-ons for development work. I'm fairly certain the sluggishness was caused by the Firebug extension... it's highly unlikely that any of you are using it. However, if you are, try disabling it for this site & see if that makes a difference.

Curious what I'm talking about? Go here: http://www.getfirebug.com/
